No Need For An Intro,But, Here’s One Anyway

As I felt the morning sun shine beaming onto my eyelids, the first thing on my mind was to get to the computer and start writing.  In my post-nocturnal/pre-coherent fog, ideas came to me. Any art that could be considered confrontational shares some common ground with hunting.  For this example, I’ll use a tiger and explain how it hunts.  The way a tiger hunts it’s prey, it uses sight and hearing rather than relying on smell, the tiger stalks its prey and once it’s in proximity, the tiger attacks from the side or rear and goes for the jugular or the back of the head.  Well, I see that as a good mind frame regarding writing.  I take on a topic, see both sides of the coin and call out whatever points that I disagree with.

Okay, some would think “That seems simple enough?  Why the blood thirsty imagery of the tiger stalking it’s prey?”  Well, we’ve just reached the first hump of this rollercoaster of potential and eventual controversy.  Thing is, when it comes to the arts, I think a lot of people would agree that emotion is a strong underlying current.  When expressing passion, one would go through praise, anger, frustration and sometimes a few good laughs.  It’s like going for the jugular.  Bottom line, when you’re on this site, you’re on safari.  So watch your neck.
